Speckles Pit Bull Terrier & Hound Mix charleston, SC

Speckles is a handsome mixed breed guy ready to find his perfect family! He is tall, lanky, and goofy. He is about 65 pounds and we believe he is about 2 years old. Speckles was one of the longest residents of the shelter, and spent months waiting to be adopted or saved. A combination of stress and limited food resources at the shelter left Speckles pretty skinny when we first got him. Thankfully he is a healthy boy who just needed extra calories. He has learned that he will never have to be hungry again, and has finally filled out into a beautiful, healthy boy.

Speckles has thrived in his foster home! He initially wasn't sure about sharing food and toys, but his foster family and foster sibling showed him he is safe, and he slowly began to trust them. Speckles is now loves to play and share his toys and treats. He loves snuggles with both the humans and foster sister. Speckles would be fine as an only dog or with another dug with a submissive play style. Any other dogs in the home must be okay with his goofy play style. He unintentionally smacks and body slams when excited, (we can't blame him for being so happy post shelter life, and he shows his happiness with his whole body)!

Speckles has done amazing with crate training, potty training, and leash training. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped.
