Meet Sprout! Sprout is a 4 lb, 3 month old puppy. His father is unknown, and his mother is Tequila, who is also available for adoption and is on the website if you’d like to learn more about her! It is estimated that Sprout may possibly end up around 15-20 pounds but this is just a guess since we don’t know who his father is. Sprout is an adorable little guy with a big personality. He loves playing with his brother as well as two of his foster mother’s chihuahuas. He also loves cuddling once he gets his puppy energy out. He is quite the scrapper and loves attacking toys! He also loves running zoomies especially in his foster family’s fenced-in backyard. He is learning to go potty outside very well- both pee and poop. He looks at his foster mom when he potties outside and she tells him how good he is and then he gets super happy! He loves to please his family. He eats his kibble from a slow feeder bowl, otherwise he will gobble it way too fast. One bad habit Sprout has is that he has a tendency to grab on to your finger and not let go; his foster family jokingly calls him “baby clamps!” He seems to be learning that that isn't a desirable behavior.He still has puppy energy and behaviors but is very smart and with training and a family to love him he is going to grow into the perfect little companion! Sprout is UTD on vaccines, HW Negative and on HW preventative. He will be considered foster to adopt until he is old enough to be neutered. Sprout’s adoption donation is $350.00. Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative. Reference checks and a home visit are required so SE dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, GA, and MD.
