My Story

Sunny was brought in when it was below freezing outside! It was obvious she was very pregnant, and she was about to pop! We took her in on January 10th, and she gave birth the next morning to 8 beautiful pups! Now, those pups are officially 2 months old, and she did a great job raising them! Sunny is a super sweet, but initially shy dog. She is friendly and really enjoys being petted and sat with! She is gentle and calm, and enjoys going outside! Sunny would do great in a home that will allow her to come out of her shell and be her true, sweet self! Sunny isn’t mean at all and is playful with her puppies! We believe Sunny is a Red Heeler/Great Pyrenees mix because we did a DNA test on one of her puppies, and it came back as Heeler/Lab/Pyrenees/Kelpie, so it would make sense that she has at least a few of these breeds in her! Although we cannot know for sure, she looks mostly like those two breeds, so we think it is most likely! Every dog adopted from Green Hills Animal Shelter is fixed, wormed, has age-appropriate vaccinations, and is tested for heartworm (if old enough). Dogs from GHAS will also come with a starter bag of Hills Science Diet dog/puppy food to get you started!
