Questions about our adoption process can generally be answered by reviewing the Adoption FAQ's. You've seen Bindi, now you see her sister Sunny. Sunny is a 9-12 month old Shiba Inu mix (according to the breed app) and weighs 40 lbs. She has a soft dense coat. Sunny & her sister Bindi were strays likely dumped at a business last fall. They had to be trapped. Both girls are learning to be in the house, part of a family and have went from being in survival mode to being happy dogs. Sunny is a happy outgoing girl and loves to smile. She does well with other dogs, but we do not know about cats. She does okay with children. Sunny walks nicely on a leash, and would like to go for a nice stroll weather permitting. She is a bit unsure of being in the house, but is getting more and more comfortable. She is house trained and has not had any accidents in the house. She also rides nicely in the car, so maybe a trip to petsmart or for a pup cup would be nice. Sunny like her sister Bindi, spent 5 days at the local college participating in the vet tech program and she did very well. Sunny is not spayed yet, but will be prior to her adoption. Thank you An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time. We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator. If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
