Meet Sunshine!
Chow/Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix - 10 months old - 40lbs
Have you ever met someone that had a rough start in life but it just doesn't seem to affect them one bit? Sunshine is one of those special souls.
When this beautiful, resilient girl was a young puppy, she was the victim of a hit and run and left on the side of the road to die. Police found her lying in a ditch and got her to our rescue and we rushed her to the vet. It was estimated she had been lying alone in the ditch for approx two days - so you can imagine everything she's been thru. She had surgery on her leg and although she will always have a limp, it doesn't slow her down at all.
Sunshine got her name because she is happy all the time. Nothing can dim the light inside this sweet girl. She spreads joy wherever she goes and loves on everyone she meets. You can't help but fall in love.
Sunshine is wonderful with dogs of all sizes. Her doggie friends have weighed anywhere from 5lbs to 60lbs and she loves them all. Her favorite thing to do is play outside with her doggie pals, lounge out in the yard, soak in the sunshine and then crash on the couch for a nap.
Good with kids, enjoys car rides and walks well on leash. She has had limited contact with cats and did fine. She is housetrained and well-behaved in the house.
Sunshine is asking for a home with a structured fenced yard and another friendly dog to be her BFF. She knows her name so to avoid any confusion, she is asking to keep her name - plus, it suits her personality to a T!
If you are looking for an all-around wonderful dog, Sunshine is the gal for you!
Sunshine is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, spayed, microchipped and current on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. She tested negative for Heartworms, Lyme, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Her adoption fee is $300 so get your application in today!
