Sunshine AKA Sunny D

Meet Sunshine (Sunny)! Sunshine is a 6 month old white and black pit-mix. She was surrendered to Rescue back in January through no fault of her own, just irresponsible owners. She is an absolute fun loving ball of energy, just as her name suggests! Sunshine (or Sunny Delight as her foster family calls her), is great with other dogs, cats, and every person she’s met. She is curious and inquisitive, VERY intelligent (and equally as stubborn), and adventurous. Her ideal family is an active one that will frequently play with her and take her out for walks. Sunny’s favorite activities include: Long walks to wherever (she loves to explore!) Playing with the big dogs in her foster home Snuggling her people ALL the belly rubs. Like, could lay there forever and ever belly rubs. Food. Girl loves her snacks and meal time, and is very food motivated. Peanut Butter is her #1, especially when stuffed in her Kong! Car rides. Although she may fuss at first when foster mom crates her, she’s quick to relax and even sleep the ride away! Vet. Sunny has been an absolute boss at the Vet. No fear or panic, even when other doggos are. She loves to greet the staff! Sunshine is crate trained, good with dogs, cats, and people, although there are no young kids in her foster home. She continues to work on basic obedience, and knows sit, drop, look (her name), crate, and pen (for her daytime pen). Foster family is teaching her down, stay, and wait. She is spayed and UTD on vaccines. Fenced in yard is HIGHLY recommended and will be prioritized due to her age.
