Medical Special Needs: Heartworm Disease
Tessa is a new arrival and we are still getting to know her. She has spent most of her life outdoors but is adjusting well inside and is ready for her forever home! She is a very gentle, sweet girl and loves everyone she meets. She does well with other dogs, cats, and kids.
Tessa is starting treatment for heartworm disease. The cost of treatment is covered in her adoption fee and we will facilitate all of her follow up care with her adopter. For the next several months, she will need to be kept calm and be on crate rest when unsupervised.
