Meet our little sweetheart, “Valentina”.
Approximately 8 months old, Vale is a Shepherd mix picked up as a stray in Chicago by CACC. She is a peanut at 38lbs! While she definitely should still have formal training, she is relatively easy to walk on leash and has great manners meeting dogs and people passing by. When on a schedule and supervised, she’s doing a good job working towards potty training and crate training, and can go overnight without a potty break. Vale learned “sit” in 5 minutes and will work for food!
Little Valentina loves stuffed and chew toys and is very playful - by herself and with other dogs. She is currently being fostered with two adult shepherds (lovely dog manners), cats (relatively neutral) and older children (fun!)
Vale is definitely still learning about the world and barks at strangers in the house or if she gets nervous. A little anxious in the car, but realizing little by little it comes with fun adventures, treats and quality time with people. Big time need to chew on things and needs some work with her puppy mouthing as she doesn’t have much bite inhibition, but she’s a sweet soul with a lot of energy and a lot of love to give!
