Valentina

Valentina came into a rural SE Missouri shelter on a Friday afternoon with a fractured leg from being hit by a car. We had to wait until Monday before she was released for medical at our vet hospital. It was determined that her fracture being splinted and bandage could heal naturally with her being so young. She will need the splint and bandage changed every two weeks until healed. Lots of crate rest for this girl until the vets feel she can begin walking on the leg again. She is very even tempered, sweet disposition even when lying in pain for 3 days in a shelter kennel without medication. She allowed the vets to handle her to examine, administer vaccines and place the splint. She was a good patient for the couple of days she was in hospital and then moved to a foster home.
