XENA - Female 3-4 years old
"This girl will forever be bonded with whoever welcomes her into their family. Although she's reserved around other dogs, Xena is 100% about giving love to her people. She's trusting and loves affection, but doesn't want other pups up in her business. She would do best in a home without other dogs, or with dogs that will give her plenty of space. Xena (aka Z or Zuzu) is an angel during baths and nail trims, especially when treats are involved, and is excellent on a leash. She doesn't mind being handled and often rolls onto her back for belly rubs.
Her story is a sad one. Because she was left unattended for so long, we're working on reminding her about house training. Her foster is currently crate-training, which is going really well. Xena never messes in her crate. She's estimated to be three to four years old. While she still gets rambunctious and occasionally wants to zip around, she mostly wants to lie nearby, and be a good girl. She doesn't chew on anything other than her chew toys and bones, and does fine in her crate while her foster is away at work.
Xena's scheduled to be spayed on February 4th, has been treated for parasites, and is up to date with vaccinations. She's currently on antibiotics for ear and skin infections, and is getting a twice weekly medicated bath. Once things clear up, she can be all yours!"
